Itinerary: Tehran – Ramsar – Masuleh – Ardabil – Tabriz – Takab- Zanjan – Hamedan – Kermanshah – Khoramabad – Dezful – Shiraz – Kerman – Yazd – Isfahan – Abyaneh – Kashan – Tehran
Duration: 20 days
Day 01: Tehran
Arrival in Tehran at midnight. You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to the hotel. In the morning, visit the historical part of Tehran from Qajar and Pahlavi era including: Golestan, Niavaran and Sadabaad Palace. At night visit Milad tower, the tallest tower in Iran.
Day 02: Tehran – Roodbar – Rudkhan Castle
Drive to Rudkhan castle. On the way visit Roodbar which is known for its delicious olives. Arrival in Rudkhan castle, a brick and stone medieval castle in Iran. You climb about 1000 stairs to reach the top of the mountain to reach the castle which is in the heart of the jungle. Stay in Sowme’eh Sara overnight.
Day 03: Sowme’eh Sara – Masouleh – Zanjan
Drive to Masouleh village. It is located in the northern mountains of Iran, in Gilan province. It has a unique architecture. The buildings are built into the mountain and are interconnected. The yard of the upper house is the roof of the lower house. After visiting Masouleh, drive to Zanjan. Visit dome and citadel of Soltaniyeh. Overnight in Zanjan.
Day 04: Zanjan – Dandi – Takab
Transport to Takab. On the way, visit Dandi county, which is located in Zanjan province. Arrival in Takab. Visit Takht-e-Soleiman. It was the site of three ancient Zoroastrian fire altars in Sassanian times, where Kings and warriors came to worship in these ancient fire temples. Overnight in Takab.
Day 05: Takab – Hamadan – Kermanshah
Transfer to Kermanshah. On the way, visit Hamedan province including Alisadr cave, the world’s largest water cave. Also visit Ibn-e Sina tomb, tomb of Esther and Mordechai, Tomb of Baba Taher, Hegmataneh hill, Ganjnameh inscriptions and Gonbad Alavian. Continue your way to Kermanshah. Overnight in Kermanshah.
Day 06: Kermanshah – Khoramabad – Dezful
Visit Kermanshah including: Tagh E Bostan (a site with a series of large rock reliefs from the era of the Sassanid Empire of Persia) and Takieh Mo’aven ol-Molk, Drive to Khoramabad. Arrival in Khoramabad. Visit Falak-ol-Aflak Castle then transfer to Dezful. Overnight in Dezful.
Day 07: Dezful – Susa – Shoushtar
Visit the old Sassanid bridge of Dezful then drive to Susa. This city is one of the oldest cities in the world. Visit Tchogha Zanbil, one of the oldest brick-built temples in the world, Apadana palace, Shush Castle. Visit Shoushtar including its historical hydraulic system. Overnight in Shoushtar.
Day 08: Shoushtar – Bishapur – Shiraz
Drive to Shiraz. On the way, visit Bishapur, (an ancient city from the Sassanid era). Arrival in Shiraz. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 09: Shiraz
We start our full city tour of Shiraz. Visit Arg of Karim Khan, Qavam House, Eram Garden, Tomb of Hafez, Tomb of Saadi, Zinatolmolk House, Saraye Moshir,Vakil Bazaar, Vakil Bath, Nasirol Molk Mosque (also known as the pink mosque).
Day 10: Shiraz – Persepolis – Pasargadae
Visit Peresepolis which is registered as a UNESCO world heritage from Achaemenid dynasty. Then visit Necropolis (Naghsh-e Rustam). Drive to Pasargadae. Pasargadae was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire under Cyrus the Great.It it also the location of his tomb.
Day 11: Shiraz – Sarvestan – Kerman
Drive to Kerman. On the way, visit Sarvestan including the Sassanid monument of Sassanids’ Palace. Arrival in Kerman. Overnight in Kerman.
Day 12: Kerman – Mahan – Rayen
Transport to Mahan by bus. Visit Rayen Castle, Shazdeh Garden, Langar Ancient Ice House and Zeinodin Caravanserai. Overnight in Kerman.
Day 13: Kerman – Shahdad
Drive to Deh-e Seyf a village in Shahdad district. Visit Shahdad desert and see yaradang formation.
Day 14: Kerman – Mehriz
Visit Kerman including: Ganjali Khan Complex, Kerman Mint House, Malek Mosque, Jame Mosque of Kerman, Kerman Ice House, Fire Temple and Zoroastrian Museum. Overnight in Mehriz.
Day 15: Mehriz – Yazd
Drive to Yazd. On the way, visit Mehriz county including Pir E Naraki holiness, Taft county and Cham county. Overnight in Yazd.
Day 16: Yazd
Start a full city tour of Yazd. Visit Dokhma, Fire Temple of the Zoroastrians, Dolat Abad Garden, Alexander’s Prison, Jame Mosque of Yazd.
Day 17: Yazd – Isfahan
Transport to Isfahan. On the way we visit two cities: Maybod city including: Narin castle, ice house, Caravanserai of Shah Abbas, carpet museum, follwowed by Nain city including: Narin Castle and Jame mosque. Arrival in Isfahan.
Day 18: Isfahan
Start a full day tour of beautiful Isfahan. Visit Naqsh-e-Jahan Square, Ali Qapu, Imam mosque, and Sheikh Lotfollah mosque, Hasht Behesht, Chehel Sotoun and Bazaar.
Day 19: Isfahan
Drive to the Isfahan Armenian district to see Vank cathedral and its amazing paintings. Also spend some time in its museum to learn more about Armenians. Then walk on the sores of Zayanderood river and visit the historic bridges over it.
Day 20: Isfahan – Abyaneh – Kashan – Qom
Drive to Qom. On the way we visit Abyaneh, which is one of the oldest villages in Iran and Kashan including Fin garden and bath and Tabatabaei House. Arrival in Qom. Visit Fatima Masumeh Shrine. Drive to Tehran International airport. Departure.
